UCL Leadership Programme Part 1:  Influencing Others

This 2-day programme will introduce you to key ideas and concepts that form the basis of developing effective working relationships and leadership qualities.  

As a result of this programme you will:

• Explore your impact on others, and how you can build your personal influence 
• Reflect on a variety of factors that affect how you work effectively with others
• Identify your strengths and areas for development in developing effective working relationships
• Practice having developmental and challenging conversations 
• Explore how you can create an inclusive environment to help individuals and teams thrive
• Create plans to develop your approach to leading and influencing others 

UCL Leadership Programme Part 2:  Supporting Others

Part 2 will introduce you to key ideas and concepts that form the basis of developing effective working relationships and leadership qualities, particularly with respect to how you support others to develop.

As a result of this programme you will

• Reflect on how you have put your learning from Part 1 of this programme into practice 
• Explore your impact on other people and the dynamics that can affect the quality of your working relationships
• Identify your leadership style and understand how you can use and develop it to support others
• Practice having coaching conversations and understand how these conversations support others 
• Create plans to enhance your approach to leading and supporting others 

UCL Leadership Programme Part 3: Mental Health awareness and Coaching

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to explore how coaching skills can be used to contribute to effective working relationships in your role as a leader,  have courageous conversations and ultimately improve organisational outcomes. Whether you are new to the idea of coaching, or have experience of coaching and want to develop your existing skills, this workshop is relevant to everyone.

As a result of this programme you will:
• Explore and understand the importance of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, and to know what colleagues can do to support each other.
• Improve working relationships by effectively managing and influencing senior colleagues
• Reflect on themselves as leaders and how they can continue on their leadership development

• Identify opportunities where coaching will support more effective working
• Be confident taking a coaching approach with your colleagues
• Understand how to use a variety of models and techniques when you are coaching
• Know how to use a coaching approach to give feedback and have courageous conversations
• Practice coaching and receive feedback on your coaching in a supportive learning environment
